Can You Imagine an Organisation Where Everybody Has a Lean Mindset?
WithYou Can!
Say Hello To The Future of In-Person Lean Experiential Learning
Scalable
Built for workforce-scale deployment, OPTiMiZE! combines hands-on experiential learning with digital facilitation, enabling organisations to consistently deliver high quality immersive Lean training across hundreds, or even thousands, of employees simultaneously.
Digitally Enhanced
Digital facilitators, mobile-based collaboration, real-time data collection and built-in gamification transform a traditional Lean simulation into an immersive, data-driven learning experience that increases engagement, insight and learning effectiveness.
Consistently Successful
By embedding expert facilitation directly into the platform, OPTiMiZE! ensures every participant experiences the same high-quality guidance, "aha" moments and proven Lean learning journey, regardless of location, coordinator or event.
Run By Anyone
OPTiMiZE! replaces the need for specialist Lean facilitators with a simple Event Coordinator role, allowing any confident employee to successfully run an engaging and effective Lean learning event after just a few hours of training.

A Breakthrough Model for Lean Experiential Training
The Challenge
For years, organisations have faced a difficult trade-off: deploy lean e-learning that is scalable, cost-effective and easy to roll out, yet often falls short in driving lasting behavioural change, or invest in experiential Lean simulations that deliver stronger learning outcomes but are expensive, difficult to scale and heavily reliant on expert facilitators.
The Solution
OPTiMiZE! changes this equation by combining physical simulation, digital facilitation with gamified interaction and simplified event coordination into an immersive learning experience. This creates a new paradigm shifting experiential Lean training experience.
The Impact
Participants collaborate, solve problems, improve processes and experience the impact of Lean thinking first-hand. Behind the scenes, the platform applies frameworks and guidance designed by Lean experts, delivering consistency, scalability and insight at every session.
The Result
The result is an innovative learning model that combines the engagement and mindset shift of the best Lean simulations with the scalability, repeatability of a digital platform. For the first time, organisations no longer have to choose between learning effectiveness and workforce-scale deployment.
OPTiMiZE! brings together the best of physical and digital learning to make Lean mindset transformation possible at scale.
Consistently delivers results
“OPTiMiZE! is a game-changer. It's not only a really great Lean Simulation - probably the best I've seen - but the scalability of the digital facilitation means we now have a practical way to realise our goal of building a lean capable workforce.”

Game Changing Innovations
1. Digital Facilitation
A cast of digital characters, including an expert Lean coach called Optima, guide participants through the end-to-end simulation process.
Participants are immersed, from the start of the simulation, in an engaging "turnaround" story that they influence in real-time by their team performance in each round and the changes they recommend between rounds.
Expertly designed Digital Facilitation guarantees that all recipients receive the same quality of lean explanations and consistently experience the same "ah has" as the simulation progresses
2. A simplified event coordinator role
Any confident employee with a few hours of training can successfully and consistently coordinate any OPTiMiZE! event. This individual does not need any lean expertise at all as their role is to coordinate, rather than facilitate, the event.
Guided by simple instructions they receive on their mobile device, Event coordinators do the things in the room that the Digital Facilitators can't. They set-up the room, welcome participants, progress through the steps of the simulation, support the participants to make the changes between rounds and pack-up the game kit after the simulation.
3. Mobile device based collaboration
From the moment thet walk into the room and scan a QR code to join the event, to the moment they complete the Lean Competency System Assessment after the training, participants collaborate with the Digital Facilitator, and each other, via their mobile phones.
By using mobile devices, the OPTiMiZE! simulation takes engagement and collaboration to the next level. Not only do participants use their mobile phones to access their role instructions, but the same device enables them to explore Lean concepts as they are introduced and also to work in small groups to recommend improvements to be implemented in the next round.
4. Game board based physical game play
Our goal when designing OPTiMiZE! was to create a simulation that incorporated the fun and excitement of a large board game. In addition, we wanted to ensure any confident employee could coordinate it. A key innovation that makes this possible is the use of a carefully curated multiple game board system which is easy to set-up and modify.
This game board system ensures the simulation is consistently successful. It also enables the participants to be involved in implementing changes, keeping the simulation fast and engaging.
5. Real-time data collection
Participant's mobile phones don't just provide a means to distribute instructions and support collaboration, they also enable real-time collection of data and participant feedback.
The result is deeper insights, better learning, faster game play and the opportunity to understand how other participants are experiencing the simulation as it is played.
6. Multi-game mode and built-in gamification
The digital facilitation built into OPTiMiZE! allows as experienced Event Coordinator to run up to three simulations at the same time in one large room. This multiplies training throughput and also unlocks a level of gamification that is rarely possible in traditional Lean training.
Teams compete in real time to achieve the highest level of operational performance, creating an atmosphere of excitement, engagement and friendly rivalry that reinforces key learning points. When a single simulation is being run, participants can still compete against meaningful benchmarks such as the global average achieved across all OPTiMiZE! events.
Why Now?
The need for scalable workforce development solutions has never been greater, but in reality, the concept behind OPTiMiZE! would have been difficult to deploy consistently even a few years ago.
Today several critical trends have converged to the point digital facilitation of a physical Lean simulation has become a possibility. Smartphones are ubiquitous. Cloud platforms are mature. Real-time browser technology is increasingly reliable. Finally, AI is making creation of digital facilitators who can consistently teach Lean concepts in 100 languages possible.
